On April 21, 2024, the International Education College (Foreign LanguagesCollege) held a presentation on the exchange student program at Osaka University of Tourism in the conference room on the first floor of Building 5. The presentation attracted more than 50 students from the International Education College (Foreign LanguagesCollege), the School of Culture and Tourism, and the Japanese public elective course. Relevant teachers from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office and the College’s Applied Japanese Teaching and Research Office also participated in the event.
At the presentation, Ning Dong, the representative of Osaka University of Tourism, introduced the characteristics of Osaka University of Tourism, the advantages of the major and the cooperation model with domestic universities to the students, and gave a detailed explanation on the curriculum setting, the composition of the cost and other issues of concern to the students. The teachers of the applied Japanese major analyzed the importance of studying in Japan to improve language ability and expand international vision in combination with the characteristics of the major. The students listened carefully and actively interacted with each other. Many students expressed their willingness to participate in the exchange student program in the future.
Osaka University of Tourism is a well-known tourism university in Japan, and its characteristic majors are highly consistent with the talent training needs of foreign languages, cultural tourism and other majors at home and abroad. The project has established a sound credit recognition mechanism, and at the same time provides preferential policies such as tuition reduction and scholarships, which provides a strong guaranty for the international development of students. This lecture built a window for students to understand overseas study opportunities, and is an important measure for the college to promote international education. In the future, the college will continue to deepen cooperation with overseas universities to create conditions for cultivating more compound skilled talents with international competitiveness.
