On the afternoon of April 23, 2025, the second foreign faculty-taught course—“Basic Accounting”—for the Class of 2024 in the Big Data and Accounting program under the Sino-Australian Cooperative Education Program concluded smoothly upon completion of the final examination.
The course was delivered by Emir, a faculty member from the University of Canberra, Australia, who has previously taught specialized accounting courses at our institution on multiple occasions. In preparation, Emir developed comprehensive teaching materials and engaged in advance online consultations with Chinese program instructors to refine the course content. During classroom sessions, he incorporated diverse case studies to stimulate critical thinking, encouraged students to express their perspectives, and effectively enhanced learning engagement, resulting in strong teaching outcomes.
Throughout the semester, International Education (Foreign Languages) Collegemaintained its teaching assistant mechanism for foreign faculty-led courses. Program instructors Bo Lina and Liang Haoyue served as teaching assistants for “Basic Accounting”, providing full-term in-class support. This measure significantly improved the instructional effectiveness of the foreign faculty-taught course and was well-received by both faculty and students.
