With the final exam ending on the morning of May 29, the third foreign course of the 2024 Data Science and Accounting major under the Sino-Australian cooperative education program—Foundations of Economics—successfully concluded.
The course was taught by Sam, a lecturer from the University of Canberra, Australia. Leveraging his profound professional background and rich practical experience, Sam delivered lively and engaging classes. He not only taught fundamental theories of macro and microeconomics but also explained essential economic models and tools for contemporary social development, guiding students to see beyond surface phenomena and inspire independent thinking about social development and economic issues.
Teachers Chang Lin and Cheng Yue served as course assistants throughout, providing instructional support for the foreign teacher's classes. Students learned in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, gaining not only academic improvement but also exercises in thinking patterns and innovative capabilities.
In the future, the School of International Education (School of Foreign Languages) will continue to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, introduce more educational resources, and make greater contributions to cultivating high-quality talents with global vision and competitiveness.
