On the afternoon of July 3rd, the School of International Education (School of Foreign Languages) held a Classroom Teaching Innovation Competition in the conference room on the second floor of Building 5. Dean Jiang Dashan, Vice Dean Huang Yiqin, heads of teaching and research sections, and somebackboneteachers served as judges.
Six young teachers participated in this college-level competition. In accordance with the requirements of the provincial competition, they took the stage in the order determined by a draw. During the lesson explanation segment, the contestants briefly elaborated on the teaching design concepts and implementation plans for their competing courses. In the simulated teaching segment, the participating teachers demonstrated strong teaching skills through vivid teaching cases, such as creating business invitation letters and practical techniques and strategies for handling workplace conflicts. During the on-site Q&A session, the judges posed questions centered around the application of AI and digital intelligence technologies, the integration pathways of ideological and political elements, the construction of evaluation systems, and the effective enhancement of students' professional qualities. The contestants remained calm and composed, showcasing excellent adaptability and professional competence. After intense competition, two teachers, Wang Jing and Gu Yaqi, won first prize and will represent the school in the university-level competition. Finally, while fully affirming the performance of each contestant, the judges offered pertinent suggestions for improvement from multiple dimensions, including the depth and breadth of teaching content, the innovationof teaching methods, and the achievement level of teaching objectives.
This Classroom Teaching Innovation Competition provided a platform for the school's teachers to showcase their teaching prowess, facilitated exchanges and learning among young teachers, further stimulated teachers' enthusiasm and exploratory spirit for classroom teaching innovation, and promoted the continuous improvement of the school's educational and teaching quality.
