From October 26 to 27, the Henan regional competition of the 2024 “China Education Television & Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press Cup” Workplace English Challenge was held at Hebi Vocational and Technical College.

Under the guidance of Mr. Mao Shaohua from International Education (Foreign Languages) College, Sun Tiantian, a student of the Class of 2023 Applied English major; under the guidance of Ms. Liu Junli from the School of Digital Economy and Trade, Chen Boya, a student of the Class of 2023 Financial Technology Application major; and under the guidance of Mr. Gu Jun from the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, Hu Ruihang, a student of the Class of 2024 Industrial Robot major, all won the first prize in the Henan provincial writing contest. Additionally, Gao Caigan (Facility Agriculture and Equipment major, class of 2024, guided by Teacher Sun Yanli) and Yin Shu (Applied English major, guided by Teacher Zhang Liping) secured second and third prizes in the Henan regional speaking competition.

With strong support from the university, committed to their educational mission, teachers encouraged students to participate in this professional and diverse competitive platform. Before the competition, our university organized an experienced team of instructors who developed detailed training plans and provided one-on-one guidance for the contestants, helping them familiarize themselves with the competition rules and environment. During the competition, the five students demonstrated solid knowledge and composure, ultimately achieving excellent results. They fully demonstrated the good spirit and comprehensive quality of our students, effectively highlighting the achievements of our school in fully implementing the integrated education of "job, course, competition, and certificate". This has deepened the reform of "three educations" in foreign language education and greatly promoted the improvement of our school's foreign language education level.
