To create a strong English learning atmosphere, enrich university life, and showcase the spirit of contemporary college students, the International Education (Foreign Languages)College organized theEighth English Handwritten Newspaper Competition this semester.

This year's competition, themed "Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China," participatedfrom all 2024 cohort students. Working in groups, students expressed their patriotic fervor through their handwritten newspapers, offering heartfelt blessings for the nation's 75th birthday. The competition consisted of preliminary and final rounds, with winners determined through a combination of class votes, votes from all faculty members, and evaluations by a judging panel. Ultimately,twogroups won first prize,fourgroups won second prize,sixgroups won third prize, andthirdgroups received the Best Popularity Award.

Through this competition, students enhanced their language skills, teamwork abilities, and aesthetic appreciation. The process of gathering and organizing materials allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of the nation's remarkable achievements, strengthening their sense of national identity and pride.
