The 4th English Calligraphy Competition of the International Education College came to a successful conclusion on November 27. The competition, which started at the end of October, was themed "Standardizing English Writing, Showcasing Our Youthful Charm," and included two parts: the English Hand-copied Newspaper Contest and the English Writing Contest, with all participants beingfreshman.
The English Hand-copied Newspaper Contest was completed by groups from each class of the 2020 level. After voting by the college's teachers, the first prize was awarded to 2 groups, the second prize to 5 groups, and the third prize to 8 groups out of 19 entries. The English Writing Contest consisted of two stages: the preliminary and the final. In the preliminary round, each class was required to select 10 English writing works. After being judged by professional teachers, 20 works were selected from over 40 preliminary entries to enter the final round, which was a live writing event. In the end, 2 first prizes, 6 second prizes, and 10 third prizes were awarded. All winning works of this competition were displayed in the college.
As one of the characteristic activities of the International Education College, the English Calligraphy Competition has already reached its fourth edition this year. Allfreshmen of the 2020 level participated, showcasing the charm of the new students, stimulating the atmosphere of English learning, and enhancing students' awareness of writing and interest in learning.
