On December 9th, the fifth English calligraphy competition of the School of International Education came to a successful end. This competition kicked off at the end of October. With the theme of "Standardizing English handwriting and blooming youthful radiance", it includes two parts: English handwritten newspaper competition and English handwriting competition. The participants are all freshmen.

In the English handwritten newspaper competition, each class of grade 2021 completed a work in groups. After voting by college teachers, finally 3 groups won the first prize, 6 groups won the second prize and 9 groups won the third prize from more than 30 works. The English handwriting competition is divided into two links: preliminary competition and final. In the preliminary competition, each class is required to select 10 English handwriting works respectively. After being judged by professional teachers, 25 works are selected from more than 50 preliminary competition works to enter the final. The final is on-site writing. Finally, 2 first prizes, 6 second prizes and 10 third prizes are awarded. All the award-winning works of this competition are displayed in the college.

The English calligraphy competition is one of the characteristic activities of the School of International Education every autumn semester. All freshmen of grade 2021 participated in it, which improved students' writing consciousness and learning interest, showed the youthful demeanor of freshmen, and enhanced the English learning atmosphere.
