On the evening of October 17th, the English Speech contest hosted by the Student Union of the School of Foreign Languages was held in the Academic Lecture Hall. The leaders of the college and all the students of the class of 2013 watched the competition.

After the fierce competition in the preliminary round, there are 10 students shortlisted for the final. The final was divided into three parts: first, the contestants gave a free speech for two minutes, then, the contestants gave an impromptu speech with random questions, and finally, the special guest Roopa asked questions based on the performance of the contestants. The first prize was Hu Yingli, the second prize was Hu Ansheng, and the third prize was Chen Ju.

This competition provides students with the opportunity to practice oral English and show themselves. The performance of the contestants is very wonderful. Through the competition, students can consolidate and test their knowledge and enrich their extracurricular life.
