Recently, the final of the campus debate competition sponsored by Kaifeng University Student Union was held in Binhe Road campus. The President and vice president of the Student Union ofDongjing Avenue Campus andBinhe Road Campus would supervise the competition system. After the first round, the second round and the semi-final, the representative team of the School of Foreign Languages(SFL) and the Software Vocational Technology College(SVTC) finally competed for the championship, and finally the school of Foreign Languages won the championship.

The theme of the debate is “Whether the growth of college students is more important to study hard or to be virtuous and honest”. Theteam ofSVTC is the positive with the view that “the growth of college students is more important to study hard and honest”, and theteam ofFLS is the opposition team with the view that “the growth of college students is more important to be virtuous and honest”. In the competition, both sides explained the debate topic from the aspects of history, politics, philosophy and so on, and gave a strong exposition of their own views by quoting the classics. In the free debate, the both sides launched a fierce lip battle, talked about their own views, launched a deeper analysis and discussion. In closing arguments, both players responded to each other's logical holes in a last-ditch effort to win the game. In the end, the team ofSFL won the crown with clear thinking, careful logic and incisive words.
