In order to improve the level of the teaching plan and PPT making for young teachers, the Institute of Foreign Languages held a training meeting on designing the electronic teaching plan for young teachers in Room 301 of Building 17 at 3 pm on May 15. The main content is to observe and discuss the award-winning PPT of electronic teaching plan in the Fourth National Foreign Language Teaching Contest.
The training was presided over by Dean Zhang Jiuming, all middle-aged and young teachers participated. Mr. Wang Jian, the supervisor, was specially invited to the training meeting. The award-winning electronic teaching plans presented in the meeting have clear teaching objectives, reasonable steps, and the content completely accords with the English level and learning style of the teaching objects, and the design of teaching activities fully embodies the concept of student-centeredness and focuses on inspiring students to think about problems. The overall interface layout of the teaching plan is reasonable, has a strong visual impact and uses graphics, images, audio, video, animation and other multimedia materialswith high quality. After the observation, we had a heated discussion, each expressed their views and received inspiration.
This training made young teachers realize that all the excellent electronic teaching plans are driven by the teaching guideline and teaching concept. Each design idea and entry point are different, but all have a unified guiding ideology and teaching goal. Dean Zhang encouraged teachers to make more efforts in teaching forms and teaching methods, and to make efficient use of multimedia classrooms to produce excellent courseware to suit for students' learning characteristics and levels.
