With the goal of cultivating the spirit of "craftsman", improving students' professionalism and ability in an all-round way, truly mobilizing students' interest in learning, improving their oral skills, and giving students an opportunity to show themselves, the School of Foreign Languages has carried out a foreign language drama competition among students in November 2018. After careful preparation in the early stage and after preliminaries and semi-finals, the foreign language drama finals were held in classroom 508 of Building 17 on November 25. College leaders, some instructors and students observed the competition on site.
Under the guidance of professional teachers, students wrote relevant foreign language drama scripts, determined the performance form, rehearsed relevant plays with group members as actors, and recommended them to the college for preliminaries, semi-finals, and finally visited the finals of the college. Therewere 7 plays participating in the finals, and after a wonderful and fierce competition, andthe on-site voting of the public and the judges, 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 1 excellence award were decided.
This foreign language drama competition provides a platform for students to learn foreign languages.In the process of improving their professional knowledge and work skills, and under the guidance of teachers, they sharpened their will, activated their thinking, showed their personality, expanded their horizons, and enhanced their team spirit. Such a competition not only provided a stage for students to show their talents, fully demonstratedthe youthfulness and liveliness and personality of the students of the College of Foreign Chinese, enriched the campus cultural life of the students, andwas also a display of the results of the student boutique activities.
