On March 28, the International EducationCollege(Foreign LanguagesCollege) of Kaifeng University, in collaboration with Kaifeng Zhucheng Electric Co., Ltd., successfully held the inaugural “Zhucheng Cup” Japanese Song Contest in the Lecture Hall of Building No. 5. The event was attended by the school’s leadership team as well as a six-member delegation led by Mr. Kawarai, Deputy General Manager of Zhucheng Electric.

A total of 14 contestants from the Applied Japanese program and Japanese elective courses showcased their language proficiency and stage charisma through classic Japanese songs such asChibi Maruko-chantheme song,Lemon, andSaikai (Reunion). Their outstanding performances won bursts of applause from the audience. After a close competition, two first prizes and six second and third prizes were awarded.

In his speech, Mr. Kawarai highlighted that “language is the key to understandother cultures, while music is the bond that transcends borders.” He expressed hope that the contest would further inspire students’ passion for learning and help cultivate versatile talents for the industry.Finally, school leaders and company representatives presented certificates and souvenirs to the winners and posed for group photos.

The contest not only enhanced students’ interest in Japanese language and their practical application ability, but also stood as a vivid example of university-enterprise collaboration, injecting fresh momentum into the high-quality development of industry-education integration.
