The Henan Provincial Department of Education recently released the list of award-winners for the 2024 Henan Higher-Vocational Skills Competition. Our college claimed three third-prize awards in the Accounting Practice event—two in the student category and one in the teacher category.

Organized by the Henan Provincial Department of Education and hosted by Henan Institute of Economics and Trade, the Accounting Practice competition is designed as a core-skills event open to every student, aiming for full major coverage and universal participation.

Student teams:

Nominated team: Ma Fuhao, Chen Bingxin, Ren Guanxiao, Yao Shuoguo (Class of 2022)

Random-draw team: Chen Xi, Xu Jiahuan, Zhang Endong, Ma Wandi (Class of 2023)

Under the guidance of teachers Bo Lina and Zhang Mengmiao, both teams competed against 226 student teams from across the province. The faculty team—Bo Lina, Kang Fengzhuo, Liu Fengli and Wang Jing—competedwithother60 teacher teams.

Participation in the contest sharpened our faculty and students’ technical proficiency, professional competence and workplace readiness, fully embodying the “competition-driven teaching, learning and reform” philosophy. Moving forward,theBig Data & Accounting programme will continue to use high-level competitions as a catalyst for deeper industry-education integration and for further raising the standard of talent cultivation.
