Recently, the 6th "Greenwich Cup" English Dubbing Contest of the International Education College (School of Foreign Languages) of Kaifeng University, with the theme "Voice Your Passion, Dub Your Style", successfully concluded.

The contest attracted enthusiastic participation from students of Grade 2023 and 2024 in various Sino-foreign cooperative education programs of the college. Participants formed teams of 3-5 people and selected clips from classic English films and TV series for dubbing creation. In the preliminary round, each class submitted a large number of high-quality works. After evaluation by English teachers, nearly 30 works advanced to the final. The final judges were composed of English teachers from the college, who conducted fair and professional evaluations of the entries from multiple dimensions, including the accuracy of English pronunciation, fluency of language, emotional expressiveness, synchronization with the original film, and quality of video and sound effects. Finally, 3 teams won the first prize, 6 teams won the second prize, and 12 teams won the third prize.

Through the vivid dubbing practice, students deeply experienced the rhythmic beauty of the English language and the charm of film and television art, effectively exercised their cross-cultural understanding ability and teamwork spirit, demonstrated the achievements of the college's talent training, improved their English application skills, and contributed to the construction of campus culture.
