International Education (Foreign Languages) College Held a Student Representative Symposium

On the afternoon of October 24th, the International Education College (Foreign Languages College) held a student representative symposium. Cheng Xin, the Secretary of Party Committee of the college, Jiang Dashan, the Dean, Qin Xinfeng, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Huang Yiqin, the Vice Dean, Ma Yuhong, the Supervisor of the college, directors of each teaching and research section, teaching secretaries, and student representatives from each class participated in the meeting. The student representative symposium for the Sino-foreign cooperative education program was presided over by Kang Fengzhuo, the teaching secretary, and the symposium for student representatives of foreign language majors was presided over by Li Yan, the director of the teaching and research section.

At the symposium, the college leaders and teachers expressed their concern and expectations to the students, hoping that the students could speak freely and actively express their views, and jointly contribute ideas for the construction of the school and the college. The student representatives spoke enthusiastically and raised opinions and demands regarding aspects such as study and life, dormitory management, logistics services, and club activities. The responsible persons at the meeting recorded and answered the questions raised by the students, indicating that the next step would be to summarize and refine the relevant suggestions, follow up and solve them, and comprehensively ensure the service and guarantee of students' study and life.

The purpose of this symposium is to comprehensively grasp the ideological trends of students, promptly address their actual needs. By building a communication platform between teachers and students, it continuously enhances students' sense of identity, belonging, and happiness towards the school, and helps students achieve all-round development. Taking this symposium as an opportunity, the school will continue to adhere to the student-oriented concept, strengthen the construction of the teaching staff, and provide a good learning and living environment for students' growth and development.
