On the morning of December 4th, Jiang Dongdong, a graduate of the Business English major from the Class of 2011 at theInternational Education (Foreign Languages)College, was invited to campus to conduct a special lecture. Students from the 2023 cohort of Business English, Applied English, E-commerce, and other majors attended the lecture.

Jiang Dongdong founded Shanghai Dongyi Textiles Co., Ltd. in 2019 and serves as its General Manager. The lecture focused on three main aspects: First, he introduced his personal growth and entrepreneurial journey. Second, he discussed how to engage in professional studies during college. Third, he explored how to set career goals and plan one's career path based on the knowledge and skills acquired in one's major. He encouraged college students to bravely pursue their dreams and showcase their talents during their youthful years. He emphasized the importance of having high aspirations while also being down-to-earth, noting that "all things in life must be done by oneself, and even small steps can lead to a vast world." He hoped that his juniors would learn to think independently, take responsibility, and continuously improve their professional skills and overall quality.

Students expressed that the lecture provided them with a rare opportunity to communicate face-to-face with an entrepreneur. They gained insights into the latest industry trends and demands, which helped them further clarify their future career plans and set a direction for their development.
