School Leader Conduct Research and Guidance at the International Education College

On the afternoon of February 24th, Vice President Li Zhi came to the International Education College to conduct research and guidance work, and had in-depth discussions with the college leadership team and teacher representatives.

At the meeting, Yuan Changzheng, Dean of the School of International Education, reported to President Li on the three-year construction plan (2022-2024) for Sino foreign cooperative education at Kaifeng University on behalf of the school. He said that the Institute of International Education, with the overall idea of "consolidating, improving and seeking survival, strengthening pioneering and seeking development", has made many achievements after nearly two decades of development. However, due to various reasons, there are some weaknesses in international education among similar colleges and universities, and the student model is OK, but it is slightly backward in terms of system construction, policy guarantee, people to people exchanges, and services for the construction of the "the Belt and Road". It has put forward development ideas and constructive suggestions for the current problems, and strives to achieve new breakthroughs in Sino foreign cooperative school running projects and new improvements in the level within three years. Subsequently, members of the college leadership team and teacher representatives made speeches.

President Li fully affirmed the various work of the International Education Institute, and also put forward several suggestions and requirements: firstly, to further divide the three-year plan, assign responsibilities to individuals, implement it properly, and regularly supervise and inspect it; Secondly, we should focus on connotation construction, enhance scientific research service capabilities, and encourage teachers and students to actively participate in skills competitions; Thirdly, we need to strengthen curriculum construction, strive to build high-quality online courses and teaching resource libraries, and continue to carry out bilingual curriculum construction; Fourth, adhere to the characteristic school running, actively participate in the project of introducing foreign teachers and overseas students around the "the Belt and Road" initiative, and further improve the school running level; The fifth is to compare the evaluation indicators of Sino foreign cooperative education to identify and fill in gaps. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen communication with similar institutions, compare horizontally and vertically, identify gaps, fill in shortcomings, and comprehensively enhance the ability of Sino foreign cooperative education.
