On the afternoon of June 1st, the International Education College successfully held the 5th English Drama Competition in the auditorium on the first floor of Building 5. Zhao Liqiang, Chief Representative of the Office of the University of Canberra in Australia, Yuan Changzheng, Dean of the School of International Education, Huang Yiqin, Vice Dean, Wang Yanling, School Supervisor, Ma Yuhong, and others attended the competition, with teachers from the School serving as judges.

This year's English Drama Competition is participated by all students of class 2022 , and is divided into two parts: preliminary and final, lasting for three months. At the beginning of this semester, each class began to divide into groups, write scripts, rehearse, etc., and the teachers of the "English Listening and Speaking" course, Jiang Dashan, Wang Shuai, and Fan Xiaoyun, provided guidance to each group during their spare time.

After careful preparation, the contestants spoke accurately, performed well, and had rich and interesting props and background music on the final stage. The scene was full of climax and continuous applause. The judges will score the contestants based on their speech, script, and performance. In the end, the drama group of "Sleeping Beauty" won the crown. Mr. Zhao Liqiang, foreign teacher Roopa, and teacher Wang Shuai gave excellent comments on the contestants' performances.

This year's English Drama Competition aims to enhance the atmosphere of English learning, improve practical English proficiency, enrich students' extracurricular cultural life, and lay a foundation for students to study abroad in the third semester and further their studies in the future. This event has become one of the brand activities of the State Education College, reflecting its educational characteristics of "major+foreign language".
