International Education College Held the 2nd Bilingual Micro-Class Competition for Young Teachers

To further promote the deep integration of information technology with classroom teaching and enhance teachers’ abilities in educational technology applications, our college held the 2nd Bilingual Micro-Class Competition for Young Teachers on January 7, 2021.

The college leadership attached great importance to this teaching competition and organized the teaching and research department to revise and improve the standards from the first competition. Detailed explanations were provided on the scoring criteria and adjustments to the bilingual micro-class guidelines before the competition, and specific expectations were set regarding the role of the competition in enhancing young teachers’ bilingual classroom teaching skills.

A total of 8 teachers participated in the competition. The teachers carefully refined their bilingual teaching materials based on their respective subjects. The micro-classes were concise, elegant, and visually appealing, with a clear focus on key points and difficulties. The English expressions were accurate, and the teaching content was presented in a clear and accessible manner, meeting the practical needs of the students.

Through the micro-class presentations, college faculty members voted for the best entries. Ultimately, the micro-classes presented by Huang Yiqin onEquity Theory and Li Junxia onSmart Logistics stood out and were awarded first prize.

This bilingual micro-class competition provided a platform for teaching exchanges among teachers, allowing them to share teaching experiences and continuously promote the internationalization and professional development of the teaching staff at the International Education College, effectively enhancing their bilingual classroom teaching abilities.
