On the evening of April 1, the School of Foreign Languages held an English oral speech contest in Room 508, 17#. Participants in this event included Liang Bo, deputy secretary of the General Party Branch of the school, some instructors, and student representatives from the Grade 2016 and Grade 2017 and Aishang English Club.
After selections among classes and preliminaries, seven students were shortlisted for the finals. The finals were divided into three parts: speech contest, dubbing show, and judges' questions and answers. The competition kicked off with warm applause. The contestants were full of energy, and their fluent and bold speeches could not help but arouse warm applause and shouts from everyone, and the wonderful and interesting dubbing also made the students praise them.
In the judges' questioning session, the judges made wonderful comments on the seven contestants and asked questions respectively. The contestants also answered fluently and expressed their inner thoughts in English. Finally, after the joint discussion of the five judges, the competition decided one first prize, two second prizes, and four third prizes, and issued certificates to the winning students on the spot. Amid the warm applause of the audience, the foreign language oral competition ended successfully.
