Tell Chinese and foreign stories well in English, and interpret colorful culture with drama. On December 15th, 2019, the annual English drama Competition of the School of Foreign Languages was held in the lecture hall of Building 5.
The competition officially started at 19:00 on December 15th. Although it was drizzling outside,the window and the temperature was as low as 2 degrees Celsius, the students were enthusiastic at the competition site. The drama in this competition included both foreign classic dramas and Chinese classic traditional plays. The students' standard and fluent oral English, exquisite performance, well-made props and costumes presented a visual and auditory feast. In the course of the competition, the students took it seriously and performed very well, fully demonstrating the spirit of eachschool. From the warm response of the audience, we can see that eachschoolhas made full preparations before the competition. The activities are rich and varied: from ancient times to modern times, from the fairy world to reality.
This English drama performance competition not only enlivens the campus cultural life, highlights the characteristic English teaching of theuniversity, but also reduces the actual distance between English class and students' life, improves the core quality of students, and shows the students' usual learning results and solid English skills.
