To thoroughly implement the Ministry of Education's employment policies for college graduates, the International Education(Foreign Languages)Collegeconvened a special employment conference on the afternoon of May 9 in Room 5#107. Attending the meeting were Party Branch Secretary Cheng Xin and Dean Jiang Dashan, along with 30 participants including department heads, graduating class counselors, and internship instructors.
Cheng Xin outlined three key requirements in response to the current employmentsituation: First, establish a "comprehensive participation, full-process guidance, and all-round service" mechanism with a one-to-one employment support system. Second, deepen the "enterprise visit and job expansion",andactively expand employment resources and channels. Third, focus on helping students from poor families and those who have difficulty finding jobs, while enhancing humanistic care and guiding graduates' career perspectives. Secretary Cheng Xin emphasized building a three-tier coordination system involving "college leadership, counselors, and academic faculty" to extend employment services throughout the entire internship and practical training process.
Participants engaged in discussions about the current employment situation of graduates from the college. Department heads provided detailed reports on graduate employment trends, rates, and the actual circumstances and career intentions of unemployed graduates. Representatives of internship supervisors shared their practical experiences and challenges encountered during career guidance. Jiang Dashan concluded the meeting by commending colleagues' efforts in employment services and outlining specific requirements for future initiatives. He emphasized the need for all faculty members to collaborate closely in advancing employment programs. He also stressed the importance of strengthening psychological counseling for students, helping them establish proper career perspectives and strengthen confidence in employment.
