In order toenhance the level of ourcollege, create a good English learning atmosphere for students, and improve students' comprehensive English ability, the Department of Public Foreign Language Teaching and Research of theschool of ForeignLanguages held "2019 English Writing Contest of Kaifeng University", which was held in Room 508 of Building 17 at noon on May 15.

With the great attention of the leaders of the college and the active assistance of the teachers, the preliminary selection, examination room layout and invigilation of the competition are progressing smoothly. More than 120 non-English majors from 9 faculties participated in the competition. The number of participants has increased significantly compared to last year, which fully reflects the strong interest of our students in learning English.

This event is one of a series of public English competitions, which aims to cultivate students' English writing ability and writing skills through competitions, and improve students' English writing skills. The department will then train the award-winning students, and finally select one student to participate in the National Higher Vocational College English Writing Competition in HeNan province
